Network marketing is just like every other business out there. In order to be successful, you have to have a steady flow of potential customers who are interested in learning more about what you have to offer.
However, getting those leads can be difficult. The internet makes this process easier, but at the same time, your competition is also out there, fighting over the same pool of potential customers. That’s why standing out and putting in the extra effort to be creative in your marketing is critical.
I’m going to share four fun ways you can ramp up your network marketing efforts to get more interested leads that you can turn into loyal, repeat customers.
Technique #1 – Create a Fabulous Freebie
Who doesn’t love freebies? One of the easiest ways to get new leads is to create a product that really serves your target audience. This might be a digital guide, a video series, a quiz, or a fun social media challenge. Grab their email address before giving out the freebie, then be sure to use that email address anytime you have a new offer or product to promote.
Many people are overwhelmed at the idea of creating a freebie, especially if they’re not a graphic designer or super tech savvy. However, it’s so easy to create beautiful ebooks using web-based tools like Canva. Shooting a video doesn’t require fancy equipment; just hit record and be yourself! Remember, being present is far better than being perfect. Your audience just wants to see you and they don’t care if you don’t have it all figured out yet.
Technique #2 – Lights, Camera, Action!
Chances are, you have a Facebook or Instagram page for your network marketing business, but when’s the last time you hit that “live” button and connected with your followers? I know it can be intimidating, especially at first, but it is so important to show up on your social media pages and interact in real time with your tribe.
Plan ahead and let people know you’ll be doing a Q&A on a specific topic later in the week. Ask them to leave their questions in the comments so you have time to prepare. Post reminders in the days leading up to your live stream. You may think you’re bothering them, but remember, these people have a lot going on and busy schedules of their own. They will appreciate the reminders.
When you do your live Q&A, just be authentic and don’t turn it into a sales pitch. People are so quickly turned off by a blatant pitch. Instead, be likeable, engaging, and helpful. This will keep them coming back to you, eager to make a purchase the next time you make that strategic pitch.
Technique #3 – Showing Up IRL
The only thing better than showing up regularly online is showing up in person. The internet makes it super easy to connect with people all over the world, but there’s still something so valuable about making face-to-face connections with real people who are excited about the same things you are.
If you’ve been on the fence about attending a conference, meetup, or networking group, take a leap and just do it. I’ve never heard anyone say they regret attending one of these events. Don’t think about it as a way to get your business card into a bunch of people’s hands. Instead, aim to make 4-5 real connections. That authentic bond will be way more fruitful than 50 superficial interactions.
Technique #4 – Record a Podcast
Podcasts are THE new thing and they can be an amazing way to get the word out there about yourself and your products. There is a bit of an investment involved with starting your own podcast, though. You need a good microphone, a headset, and some editing software. Once you have the tools, the costs are minimal. It just takes some dedicated time to record, edit, and promote your episodes.
If you’re not ready to invest, or you just want to see if podcasting would even be a good fit for you, consider being a guest on someone else’s podcast. This is a great way to get exposed to a new audience, and to get a chance to promote your website or social media feeds. Do a little digging online to find podcasts that would be a good fit, then reach out via email to see if they’re open to collaborating. You never know until you ask!
